Happy snow day East Coast!

Glad we didn't get 2 feet of snow as they predicted.  Snow is so magical when its actually falling, but the after math is no fun.

On a cold snowy day like today; I love to wear cozy sweaters like, the turtleneck sweater.  I've had this one in my closet for a few years, it super warm and the color is great.  Its a favorite in my winter wardrobe.  I just love how the high-collar hugs my neck, it's the perfect cold weather fashion staple.  Slimmer styles are great for layering, which is key in winter fashion.  I took mine to the edgy side by adding another favorite piece in my closet, the motorcycle vest.

Stay warm!

Savannah Hair Therapy

Happy Friday sweets!

Horrible weather ahead of us here in NJ for tomorrow.  Can't wait for spring!  I can't even say we've had a bad winter, but I'm still over it.

The cold weather is horrible on my hair.  I have curly, dry, coarse, and unruly hair at times.  It doesn't help that I color it every 3-6 months either.  With that said, I MUST use a deep conditioner or hair mask on my locks at least once a week.  Intense conditioning can do wonders for damaged hair.  I don't use the same one over and over again.  I like to use different ones depending on what I feel my hair needs at that time.  If I recently dyed my hair, I usually go for a color treated one, other times I look for moisturizing ones, and sometimes just the scent of one can be the winner.

Savannah Hair Therapy Treatment Masque with shea butter from Good Looking Discounts  has to be one of the best masks that I've tried.  A good deep conditioner can be pricey, but Good Looking Discounts provides quality products for hair care, skin care and body care at discounted prices.

I have nothing but great things to say about this Savannah hair therapy masque.  Before you even put it in your hair, the smell takes you somewhere.  Not somewhere tropical, more like Paris.  I can't really explain it.  It's not fruits or berries, it's rich and fancy.  The smell is just out of this world.  This masque is so concentrated that you can actually tilt the bottle and nothing is going to drip.  A little goes a super long way.   You can use it as a routine conditioner if you'd like, but for me it works best when I use it once a week with a thermal conditioning cap.  I also sit under the dryer for about 20 minutes.

Hair Tip: Always detangle your hair before you get in the shower.  It tangles less, which makes it easier to apply your conditioner.

In just one use of this masque, I felt the difference in my hair.  Talk about smooth, shiny, and oh that scent!  If your hair needs moisture, I highly recommend this masque.  Another thing I've noticed since using this product, is I've had less breakage.    Just let the stuff work its deep conditioning magic, and voila - healthy, beautiful hair.

Have a great weekend!

Grey Skies

Sweater: Gap | Vest, Jeans, & Necklace: Target | Booties: Forever 21 | Hat: Old | Clutch: Mandee | Watch: Modify Watches

Happy hump day!  Grey is one of my favorite colors for winter.  Variations of monochromatic looks have been everywhere on fashion blogs and Instagram.  I added touches of brown just for layering purposes.  Don't think of grey as being dull, you can always spruce it up with pops of color.  I always need some color even in the winter, as you can see I added a turquoise bangle bracelet.  If you really want to go all grey, keep it simple.  Simplicity is key!

Have a great day loves!

Oh so Kushy!

Hat: Forever 21 | Sweater: Thrifted | Skirt: Wet Seal | Tights: {c/o} Kushyfoot | Booties: Kohl's | Handbag: Nine West

It's almost Friday!  Woohoo!

I'm looking forward to the so called "warmer" weather were supposed to have here in NJ this weekend.  I heard it's supposed to be almost 40 degrees, which is a heat wave considering it's been in the low 20's.  Needless to say I was frozen while shooting this look, but my legs were warm and my feet were in heaven.

I received the most fabulous tights and socks from Kushyfoot.  Fleece tights?!  Yes please!  Wait...it gets better.  Some of their socks and cover pads actually have a soft pad that cushions the ball of your feet.  When I got them home I was so excited to try them.

Kushyfoot was created in 2003.  It is the first brand in women's legwear to incorporate the ancient healing art of reflexology.  All products feature a specially designed sole with a messaging sensation.  The Kushyfoot sole helps relieve tension and discomfort in achy feet, thereby helping relieve stress and fatigue thought the entire body.

I wear tights all winter if I'm wearing a skirt, there's just no way I go bare leg.  I'm always way too cold for that.  These tights felt so good on and they are fleeced lined!  It doesn't get better than that.  Right now if you spend $40 you get 20% off.

Happy shopping!

Winter Whites

Sweater: Kohl's | Necklace & Scarf: Gift | Jeans & Hat: Old Navy | Booties: H&M | Coat: Mandee

Back at it!  First blog post of 2015!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

Yup, I'm wearing white jeans in the middle of winter.  I winterized the look with my favorite leopard booties and my new oversized sweater.  It's not actually oversized, but I've been buying my sweaters a tad on the bigger side.  I'm really into that oversized cozy look.

While wearing white for winter, add a dark color or a winter texture like wool or tweed.  Linen and chiffon are winter no no's.  Adding a dark coat or leather boot lets people know what season it actually is.   Don't be afraid to have fun with winter whites.

Have a happy Monday!
