Shoes And Bags...Oh My!

H.a.p.p.y F.r.i.d.a.y.!!!!

I'm so excited about this collaboration.  If there is one thing that all women have in common, it's the love we have for shoes and handbags.  They make all of us look great and you really can't complete an outfit without them.

I've collaborated with Madora which is a free app that you can download to your phone and get stylish shoes and bags at fabulous prices.  How gorgeous are these pieces that I got, and both were under $60!  The hardest part was picking out what I wanted, everything was amazing.

I loved the color of this bag and the pom poms....so cute!  The color is one I didn't have in my closet.  The booties are perfect for fall and super comfy, which is what I need at 8mo. pregnant.

Madora creates a personalized shopping experience with stylish shoes and bags.  As you take pictures and like products in the app, Madora learns your personal style and recommends other items you may like.

If your inspired by an outfit at a store or from a magazine, Madora uses visual search technology just snap a picture of a bag or shoes and the app will suggest similar items from their library of over 30,000 available products.  Oh and did I mention that shipping and returns are always free.

I really fell in love with this app.  Not only are the prices reasonable but it had trendy accessories with an edge.

Banana Republic Photo Shoot

Feels so good to be back!  Missed you dolls!   So many things are happening....... life is crazy like that.  The past month has been bananas!  No pun!

I have tons to share with you and a huge announcement will be up soon but for now, I'll start by giving you a behind the scenes look of a photo shoot I did with Banana Republic.

I worked on a style post with BR and they decided to choose some of their favorite bloggers to work with them on a photo shoot and I was one of the lucky ones.

It was honestly one of the best days that I've had since starting my blog.   It was such an honor to work with a company that I've admired as well as shopped at for years.

I didn't know how to act when I saw myself on this board......SOOO COOL!!!!!

My makeup was super natural.  I don't wear heavy makeup usually, but I was surprised how simple it was for a photo shoot.  Not even fake lashes!!!

After getting all glammed up it was time to put my first outfit on, I had a total of 4 looks.  I also had no idea that the shoot would be outside.  I have never modeled before so I assumed we would be in a studio just snapping pictures, but it was not like that at all!!!

We were all over the streets of NYC trying to get that perfect shot.  I even found myself getting my makeup done and hiding from the rain in a supermarket.  It was a horrible, cold and rainy day but I was so excited it didn't even phase me.  I was in my total Gigi Hadid moment all day long.  I was ready to quit my 9-5, take head shots and become a model.  Don't laugh....LOL!!!

Shoe & accessory heaven!

My favorite outfit from the shoot.  The blazer was made of this basket weave material that felt amazing.  It's definitely a piece you can wear through all the seasons.

Pretending I wasn't freezing....

The weather was horrible and I actually felt sick that day but it was a day that I'll never forget.

Here are some of the professional pics.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Thank you Banana Republic for making my modeling dreams come true!

Grey Skies

Sweater: Gap | Vest, Jeans, & Necklace: Target | Booties: Forever 21 | Hat: Old | Clutch: Mandee | Watch: Modify Watches

Happy hump day!  Grey is one of my favorite colors for winter.  Variations of monochromatic looks have been everywhere on fashion blogs and Instagram.  I added touches of brown just for layering purposes.  Don't think of grey as being dull, you can always spruce it up with pops of color.  I always need some color even in the winter, as you can see I added a turquoise bangle bracelet.  If you really want to go all grey, keep it simple.  Simplicity is key!

Have a great day loves!

Oh so Kushy!

Hat: Forever 21 | Sweater: Thrifted | Skirt: Wet Seal | Tights: {c/o} Kushyfoot | Booties: Kohl's | Handbag: Nine West

It's almost Friday!  Woohoo!

I'm looking forward to the so called "warmer" weather were supposed to have here in NJ this weekend.  I heard it's supposed to be almost 40 degrees, which is a heat wave considering it's been in the low 20's.  Needless to say I was frozen while shooting this look, but my legs were warm and my feet were in heaven.

I received the most fabulous tights and socks from Kushyfoot.  Fleece tights?!  Yes please!  Wait...it gets better.  Some of their socks and cover pads actually have a soft pad that cushions the ball of your feet.  When I got them home I was so excited to try them.

Kushyfoot was created in 2003.  It is the first brand in women's legwear to incorporate the ancient healing art of reflexology.  All products feature a specially designed sole with a messaging sensation.  The Kushyfoot sole helps relieve tension and discomfort in achy feet, thereby helping relieve stress and fatigue thought the entire body.

I wear tights all winter if I'm wearing a skirt, there's just no way I go bare leg.  I'm always way too cold for that.  These tights felt so good on and they are fleeced lined!  It doesn't get better than that.  Right now if you spend $40 you get 20% off.

Happy shopping!

Winter Whites

Sweater: Kohl's | Necklace & Scarf: Gift | Jeans & Hat: Old Navy | Booties: H&M | Coat: Mandee

Back at it!  First blog post of 2015!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

Yup, I'm wearing white jeans in the middle of winter.  I winterized the look with my favorite leopard booties and my new oversized sweater.  It's not actually oversized, but I've been buying my sweaters a tad on the bigger side.  I'm really into that oversized cozy look.

While wearing white for winter, add a dark color or a winter texture like wool or tweed.  Linen and chiffon are winter no no's.  Adding a dark coat or leather boot lets people know what season it actually is.   Don't be afraid to have fun with winter whites.

Have a happy Monday!
