Brunchin With Neiman Marcus

Hi Sweets!  It's been a while!  My personal life has been quite hectic.  After being out on maternity leave for 10mo. I just started working at a new job this week, and things have been a little crazy at casa Pereira.  
Even though life has been cray cray, I did attend a fabulous brunch with Neiman Marcus at the Short Hills Mall.  The TrendSetter Brunch was hosted by Dana Prigge from Daily Fashionista.Com.  It was absolutely divine!  Neiman Marcus sure knows how to make you feel special.  The brunch was held at one of their private styling suites and we were given a personal tour by Terry Dragoumis, the manager of public relations and special events.  After the tour we had a delicious lunch (I want that chicken salad right NOW!)  While we lunched, Dana had a wonderful fashion show with all the must have fall trends.  Neiman Marcus Short Hills has an incredible selection of fashion, beauty and home. Some of the styles featured were from Alice and Olivia, Tom Ford, YSL, Rebecca Minkoff, Burberry and more.
The Neiman Marcus store in Short Hills is stunning!  The shoe dept. was or is heaven on earth! Many of the styles and fashions are exclusive to Neiman Marcus Short Hills, which means you can’t find them anywhere else.  With the holidays around the corner, Neiman Marcus Short Hills is definitely the place to visit!  Thank you Dana, Terry and Neiman's for a fabulous afternoon.

I'm obsessed with the kimono style trend that I've been seeing everywhere lately.  After shopping around online, I noticed that they can be on the pricey side.  I decided to visit my local thrift store and found this gem.  I was lucky enough to have found 2 for only $4!  
Thrifting is an economical way to find fashion treasures, and try new trends without breaking the bank.

Shifting Gears

Happy Monday!  During the summer, I love to wear dresses.  I'm obsessed with this one from Tobi (currently on sale for $25).  Tobi has the hottest pieces for every season.  Right now their offering 50% off everything!
The off-the-shoulders and statement sleeve on this dress, is on trend and perfect to dress up or down.  I dressed mine down with a classic pair of white Converse.  A pair of "white sneakers" are definitely a summer staple in my closet.  They go with everything!

Dash Of Red

Happy Friday and happy SUMMER! I'm so excited for my first summer with the baby.  Little AJ is 6 months old now, has two teeth, and is already crawling!  He's even trying to stand.  He thinks he's such a big boy but he's still a little peanut.  As for me, I'm great!  Now.....

The first few months of motherhood was super challenging.  The sleepless nights were hard.  Thankfully I had a great support system.  My best advice for any new mommy, take it one day at a time.  Everything is temporary!  Believe it or not, the days and nights :) do get better.

This is my first style post since having the baby and I was super nervous.  I'm not at my desired weight yet but, I'm happy and that's all that matters.  I'll get to that "number" but for now, I'm just enjoying it all.  Even the extra pounds!

For this post I thought I would take a classic like black and white, which is one of my favorite color combos and summer it up! 

I added a pop of color with my new block heels from Target.  What's summer without a little color?!?!?!

My off the shoulders top is from Tobi.  They have the trendiest pieces you'll love!  We all want to show a little skin during the warmer months and a little shoulder action is flattering on everyone.
