Today I'm talking accessories!

Statement necklaces are always a great option to dress up any basic outfit. 

How fabulous is this one from Happiness Boutique!  As soon as I saw it I knew that I wanted to wear a basic white tee.  This necklace is anything but basic so I wanted it to stand out on its own.  The problem I had, is that I couldn't decide if I wanted to wear jeans or a skirt.  So I did both!  Next week I'll be wearing the same tee and necklace with a skirt.  I think I like the jeans look better but I'll let you decide.

 

Statement necklaces are still huge for Fall and I think their great for those days that you want to look cute, but not overly dressy.  Throw on your jeans (or a skirt), heels and this beauty and your good to go!

SuperStay Better Skin Challenge

We all want better skin.  OBVI!  I had the opportunity to test Maybelline's new foundation SuperStay Better Skin, and let me tell you, I LOVED it. 

My skin actually feels smoother and even brighter. 

 

Maybelline's Super Stay foundation is an all day flawless coverage foundation that improves your skin and unevenness.  It also reduces the look of spots and dullness.  It contains ACTYL-C, a more durable form of vitamin C.  Its a medium to full coverage foundation.   

 

Ok so the first thing that I loved was the pump, so easy for application.  I also noticed that it goes on super smooth.  I was scared that the color wouldn't match my skin tone, but it was perfect.  Its super light weight and it really covered my imperfections.  Plus it has SPF!  Soooooo important for your skin!  After wearing it for a few days, I actually felt my skin smoother.  I don't know if you can tell in the before picture, but my forehead was breaking out so bad and its clearing up!!!!  I even see a difference in my eye area.  I always use a primer and a setting powder, especially during the summer.  All in all, I was truly impressed and will purchase this foundation again.  If you have problem skin, I think you should definitely give it a try.  You can get a $2 off coupon on Maybelline's website!

Hey dolls!  I've missed ya! 

 

So I know I haven't had a new post in a few weeks, but my weekends have been super busy and well you know, the days just fly by.  I've also been trying to enjoy these last few weeks of summer, so I've been beaching and bbq'ng it up so my outfits have been pretty relaxed.   I still can't believe were at the end of August!   Today's post is just a cute re-cap of a blogger brunch I attended over the weekend.  

 

Blogger friend Alana from Alana Marie Style set up a blogger brunch and I was so excited to see my girls.  Long story short....Alana couldn't make it due to a terrible accident on I95, and a few other girls had to cancel last minute so it ended up just being Suzy Suzy's Closet, Patty Patty's Kloset and I.   We had a fabulous brunch at Refinery Rooftop with an amazing view.  Then it was a little shopping and a walk through Bryant Park.  I wore one of my favorite summer dresses that I got 2yrs ago from HauteLook.  Summer dresses are my go to, their cute and not clingy.  Unless you want them to be...LOL!  Perfect for those extra hot days. 

 

Next week I'll have a beauty post!  Thanks to Influenster, I got to take the 3 week better skin challenge using SuperStay Better Skin Foundation by Maybelline.  I've loved the results so far and I can't wait to share it with you.   Last but not least.....I caved in and started a SnapChat!
