Thursday.....where's Friday? 

Why does it always feel like the week goes by so much slower, when you have a short work week.  I feel like today should be Friday.....wishful thinking, I know! 

Today is beautiful outside......yay!  I decided to wear this denim blazer over my dress because it's always super cold in my office.  It's so hard for me to put outfits together for work.  The office is too cold, I need a sweater, and forget short shorts, there are wayyyy too many dress restrictions in the work place.  Not much you can do about that! #corporateamerica

Crochet Me!

Happy Hump Day!

The past few days have been brutal.......major heat in NJ.  Today of course it's cloudy and humid.  It seems like no matter how the weather is, I'm complaining!  #neverhappy

This crochet shawl/vest whatever you wanna call it, is super old!  I got it at Mandees and this might be the 2nd time I wear it.  I thought it was perfect for today's weather.

My tank is old too but how weird is it that it matches this vest!  The flower detail is also crochet.

Don't  mind my hair....this humidity is driving me nuts! 

Also, I'm in the process of changing the color, I usually go lighter in the summer. 

Say hello to my new baby.....Carmela!  Yes, I name everything!  Even though I 'm happy to have a new bag, It makes me sad as to how I ended up with it.  My other Michael Kors bag had manufacturing issues, so they had to replace it.  Of course, they didn't have the same bag in stock, I ended up getting this one because I loved the color.  My other one was vanilla (here) so I'm kinda missing it for the summer.  They had this one in vanilla too but I was scared to buy such a big white bag.  BUT while we were at the MK store my sweet hubby got me this super cute cross body in vanilla (similar here).  He knew how bad I wanted a white bag and it was on sale!

Jersey Shore Escape

Happy almost Friday!!!! 

I've been so out of the loop!  I left to Atlantic City to celebrate the hubby's birthday on Sunday and I forgot my cell phone!!!!  Call the troops!!!!  I didn't even know what to do with myself without a phone for 4 days!  Let's just say......I survived!!  Our trip to AC was fun but the weather SUCKED!  I left here on Sunday with the sun shining and I never saw it again.  The hubby and I were not lucky.......all whammies!  Even though we didn't hit the jackpot we had a great time.  We weren't able to visit the boardwalk for 2 reasons.....we didn't stay very close to the boardwalk, and the weather was horrible.  This outfit is what I wore on Sunday afternoon before we left.

I got these sandals at Kohls last summer for my destination wedding in October and I'm so excited to be wearing them.  I got them early summer and only wore them one time.  Love the bling, bling!  I will take a better pic next time I wear them.

I didn't do many outfit changes in AC, we were there from Sunday-Tuesday and we pretty much kept it low key.  I wish the weather would have been nicer to us.   Here are a few pic's of my trip.

This cardigan was my weekend lifesaver!  The casino's are always freezing and I'm always underdressed.  I must have worn it all 3 days....no lie!  LOL!

   

We had happy hour at The Charter House while visiting The Golden Nugget Casino.  These fried plantain chips were beyond!  I can't even tell you how delicious they are.....you MUST try them!  We also had the prime rib sliders, calamari, and fire cracker shrimp! 

At the Harrah's Resort we visited Bill's Burgers.....AMAZING!  I had their "shrimp burger" and it was YUMMO!  Of course I'm still getting used to this whole blog and taking pic's of everything, so I was already 3 bites in when the hubby says..."you didn't take a pic for your blog"......ooops!  LOL!  Take my word for it, the shrimp burger at Bill's is; oh so good!  On our last day there we went to McCormick and Schmicks seafood restaurant.  I had fried shrimp and the hubby had linguine and clams.  The  hubby and I are total foodies! 

This was THEE best drink (strawberry basil caipirinha)!!!! Of course the hubby loves his beer!

Color-Blocking

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I love saying that!  I'm super excited for the weekend!  Celebrating the hubby's birthday tomorrow and then going to Atlantic City on Sunday!

My birthday was on Tuesday (5/15).....yes I'm another year FABULOUS!!!!  With everyone's hectic schedule, I didn't celebrate with my friends until last night.  We kept it very low key, went to a local chain restaurant "Red Lobster"!  We love their cheddar bay biscuits!!!! YUM!!!!!  My friends are a group of amazing, beautiful, talented, and of course FAB women!  I'm a lucky girl to have them in my life!  Thanks for a lovely dinner ladies!

This is my first time color-blocking!  What do you think???  I originally wanted to color block this sweater with my red jeans but I looked like Ronald McDonald!  Not that it didn't look cute, but I wasn't feeling it.  Maybe I'll try it another day, and you can tell me if you like it.   Here are some fun pics of last night....enjoy!

It's almost FRIDAY!!!!!

Happy Thursday sweets!  The weather is gorgeous today!  I hear all weekend NJ is going to have FAB weather!  I'm going to the jersey shore this weekend so this makes me HAPPY HAPPY!!! 

When I got this blazer, I envisioned wearing it a different way but I think it kinda works with this dress.  What do you think?  I thought my outfit was a little all over the place this morning but now I think it all kinda works...I hope!  LOL!

Pastel dreams

Happy hump day sweets!!!! 

I'm loving this new blazer!  It's super soft, comfy and the color is so pretty!  When I got it at Mandees it was on sale for $12.99, which I thought was a steal!  When I get to the register it had an extra 40% off.....HELL YES! 

I wanted to pair it with a pretty dress or white jeans but the weather has been sooooo crappy....sunny one minute, drizzling the next.  I'm going to Atlantic City this weekend for the hubby's birthday.  Maybe I'll pair it with my white jeans.  I hear the weather is supposed to be GORG this weekend!

Pretty Butterflies

Happy Monday Sweets!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day!  I had an awesome weekend with my family!  I'm not a mom yet, but it's so fun to spend the day with all the beautiful mom's in my family.  All of us together is a rare occasion so days like yesterday are so exciting and fun!

I got these brown wedges at Payless like 2 weeks ago and they are pretty comfy height wise, but OMG they hurt the back of my feet....BAD!  It's Monday morning and I have band-aids on the back of my feet.  It's like the leather or something is rubbing on my heel...NO BUENO!  I have to take them to the shoe repair before I wear them again!!

Sweet Buys (Forever 21 & H & M)

HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!

I wanted to share with you some of my latest buys!  I went to Forever 21 and tried to use my Christmas gift card......finally!  But I endend up having to order the blazer online because they didn't have my size in store. 

Classic Woven Blazer

I think this blazer is super versatile.  I already have a nude colored blazer from The Limited and it does look a little similar to this, but this one is more peachy.  The actual color is peony and its from the Love 21 collection.  They had it in a really cute blue color too, but I just think I will get more use out of this color.  I really wanted a brighter colored blazer but they just didn't fit the way I wanted.  Also, a lot of the blazers at Forever 21 are dressy and I was looking for a very casual piece.  

Faceted Rhinestone Cord Bracelet

I was in serious need of arm candy.  I have LOTS of bracelets but they are all bangle style.  I really like the rhinestones on this beauty and I can't wait to stack it!

Padded Bikini Top

H & M was having their bikini sale!  Swim suits starting at $4.95, YES please!  I got this top and of course they didn't have the matching bottoms in my size, but I thought this neon pink went well.  What do you think????  I also got a really cute neon green top but I had to return it....way to small!  I was going to try and color block this neon pink with the green top but it didn't fit :(   Do you sweets mix bathing suit bottoms and tops???  I do this ALL the time!
