Plaid-tastic

Mondays suck, but they suck even more in the snow!
Yup it's snowing and I'm sitting here blogging, and dreaming of warmer weather.  The weather on the weekend was beyond gorgeous!  High 40's, sun shining....just perfect!

What did you guys think of the super bowl?  I thought Bruno Mars was excellent!  The game on the other hand was wickedy wack!  Hopefully my Giants will make it next year! #fingerscrossed

I'm loving everything plaid right now.  Scarves, tops, and even hats!  I wore this on game day, and no I didn't wear green or orange.  I wore red and blue in honor of my team.  GO GIANTS!

A V-day Inspired Look With ModCloth & Polyvore

Hello there sweets!

Today I'm having some fun with Polyvore and ModCloth.
ModCloth is this super fun clothing, accessories, and decor online store.  They have whimsical and cool pieces you won't find anywhere else.

ModCloth has put together the
Uniquely You Campaign, where bloggers create a look using pieces from ModCloth.
The piece chosen for me by Amy at ModCloth, was the  Diagonal Alley Coat in Black by Steve Madden.

A chic statement coat is a must have for the winter months, and this coat makes one hell of a statement.  With a ribbed collar and diagonal zipper its easy to take this from day to night, and if you love color it comes in red too!
I went back and forth debating how I would style this fabulous coat.  I'm a casual girl at heart and live in jeans and pants.  For this campaign I decided to go dressy and give you a V-day inspired look.

Here's what I would wear on V-day!

Do you love it?

All the pieces are from ModCloth and the first one that spoke to me was the Prized Panelist Dress.  The black and white is so chic and the flare skirt is perfect!  The color blocking and panels brought me back to the diagonal zipper on the Alley Coat

Adding the red tights gave it that V-day feel for a fun, girly look!  Accessories are a must to finish off any look.  I went with a beautiful t-strap heel and a leopard clutch. #classic
Mixing prints is definitely something I love to do.  I love the look of vintage jewelry and these cameo earrings and statement necklace were perfect to finish it all off.  I had to go back and add a scarf because if you live on the East Coast like me, your going to need it on V-day!  #polarvortexgoaway

Accessories I used:

I hope you get some V-day inspiration from my look, It's definitely "uniquely me"!

Blockade Party Dress

Dress: c/o MODCLOTH
Cardigan: Thrifted
Necklace: Payless
Shoes: Forever 21
Bracelets: c/o Charming Charlie

Happy hump day sweets!  Well I hope your day is going better than mine.  I fell this morning on my way in to work.  I felt like a turtle on it's back.  I fell and could not get up.  LOL!  I haven't fell like that in a long time!  I scraped by hands but besides that, I'm good to go!

Anyway, I had off yesterday which was so good.  Finished most of my Christmas shopping.

When I attended LuckyFabb, Modcloth was there and they were kind of enough to send me this dress.  I wore it to my holiday office party on Sunday.  I added a sequin cardi for that holiday sparkle!  And of course my new favorite neutral......leopard shoes!

Hope you like!  Thanks for visiting!

Stripes & Leopard

Sunnies: Kohl's
Necklace: Gift (Thanks Dana!)
Top: Old Navy
Jacket & belt: Ny & Company
Jeans: Forever 21
Flats: H & M

What's up chicos y chicas!  It's a gorgeous day in my neighborhood!

I know I haven't worn anything too springy yet but damn it, I'm always COLD!  LOL!    I'm trying to embrace the warmer weather but when I leave my house in the am it's still pretty chilly.  This is where layering is key!
You can wear a pretty floral top or dress and layer it with a military inspired jacket like mine, a blazer, a cardi!  It all works!

Dress for you, and no one else!

Have a good day sweets!
