Here's a little history on
Caldrea Aromatherapeutic Living:
Walking through the cleaning aisle at her local store, Monica Nassif thought there must be a better, safer alternative to the harsh smells and formulations she had under her sink. Driven by the desire to care for her family, Monica became the pioneer of Aromatherapeutic Homekeeping in 1999. Her entrepreneurial spirit and fierce commitment to care for those she loved fueled her to develop Caldrea. Quality ingredients, safe formulations and beautiful fragrance have been the cornerstones of Caldrea from its inception.
Caldrea was founded on a simple and powerful idea—that caring for our homes should be a beautiful experience. In our world, beauty is so much more than skin deep. It is a vital force that fuses elegance, sophistication and natural goodness.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the actual packaging. So sophisticated and chic. Not a silly cartoon or fruit in site! The next thing I noticed was that they came with matching lotions. LOVES it! How many of us are always buying body wash that smells like one thing, and then we put on lotion that smells like something else. The idea that we can wear the same scent in all aspects was pretty cool to me. Wanna here something even cooler, the scents come with the matching perfume. You heard right, perfume! So you don't have to smell like cucumber in your shower, peach in your lotion, and musk in your perfume. Just brilliant!
Ok, review time! My favorite scent had to be the aloe water apricot. This scent is perfect for spring/summer. It was fresh, bright, and slightly sweet but not overpowering. I also love that it's free of harsh ingredients which are no good for my sensitive skin. Of course I used the lotion and I could literally smell it as I moved through out the day. I'm going to use my Birchbox points to get the perfume because it smells just that good.
The hubby wanted in on the action so I let him pick a scent to try and he went with coconut fig leaf. He said it made him feel like he was on vacation. It was surprisingly soft, but rich.
I think the only complaint that we both had was the consistency. It's not thick and soapy, it's soft and silky, so I ended up pouring more on my bath sponge than I actually needed. A little goes a long way. I can't wait to try the tea olive lime!
I am honored to have been chosen as the Birchblogger Of The Month! Even before I joined the Birchblogger program, I was a customer of Birchbox for a little over 2 years. I just love receiving samples and being able to try new products every month.
If your looking for a last minute Mother's Day gift, a Birchbox subscription would be awesome. The gift that keeps giving. Monthly to be precise!
Stay tuned for a cute Q&A and another article I'll be writing with Birchbox!
Thank you to Caldrea and everyone at Birchbox!
