Happy Friday and happy SUMMER! I'm so excited for my first summer with the baby.  Little AJ is 6 months old now, has two teeth, and is already crawling!  He's even trying to stand.  He thinks he's such a big boy but he's still a little peanut.  As for me, I'm great!  Now.....

The first few months of motherhood was super challenging.  The sleepless nights were hard.  Thankfully I had a great support system.  My best advice for any new mommy, take it one day at a time.  Everything is temporary!  Believe it or not, the days and nights :) do get better.

This is my first style post since having the baby and I was super nervous.  I'm not at my desired weight yet but, I'm happy and that's all that matters.  I'll get to that "number" but for now, I'm just enjoying it all.  Even the extra pounds!

For this post I thought I would take a classic like black and white, which is one of my favorite color combos and summer it up! 

I added a pop of color with my new block heels from Target.  What's summer without a little color?!?!?!

My off the shoulders top is from Tobi.  They have the trendiest pieces you'll love!  We all want to show a little skin during the warmer months and a little shoulder action is flattering on everyone.

Prints And A Bump!

Bright prints and bumps on this Monday!  

Styling this growing bump has not been easy in this summer heat.  Luckily I can wear easy dresses like this shift dress that I got while I was down the shore.  The print and tassel details are super cute whether your an expecting mommy or not.  I wore it with heels for dinner, but you can easily wear flats for a day look.

Paper Bag -Waist Crop Pants - Banana Republic - C/O #ad

Hey loves!  Hope you had a great July 4th weekend.

Cropped pants can be a tricky trend to pull of, especially if their wide leg.  I think the easiest way to make them work is balance.  Don't go to wide on the top, keep it sleek or you might end up looking sloppy.  Another tip is wear heels, I'm a flats girl but you need an elevated look.  If you don't want to do a high heel, opt for a stacked one like I did here.  

Keeping the print neutral like I did with these Banana Republic ones is always an easy way to embrace the trend.  I can always rely on Banana to keep me on trend without trying to hard. 

These pants can go from work to cocktail, my best advice is to just have fun with them.

Hey dolls!  I took advantage of the Zara sale and scored these sky blue oxfords for only $19.99!  Zara why do you always make me broke?!

 

I bought them because I thought they would be perfect for fall outfits, but I couldn't help but want to wear them now.  With summer coming to an end soon, I do like to invest in pieces that I can wear now and later.

A must have for layering during the summer season, is a vest. 

I've been obsessed with them lately, it's basically the summer jacket.  Their super versatile and can be worn in so many different ways.  I have another blog post coming next week, where I'm wearing a denim one.  What's great is that they can be worn pretty much all year long. 

 

Whether you go long, short, denim, silk or lace invest in one that you know you'll wear over and over again.  Their especially great for the office.

It's a HOT Monday in my neighborhood, stay cool out there!

 

We all love wearing summer dresses, and this season one of the latest trends is "cutouts." 

 

I'm not one to show too much skin, but little details like side slits and backless can be super fun and flirty without being overly sexy or raunchy.  If your not completely comfortable about cutout dresses, chose an area that your confident with.

Hey sweets!  Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend.  I can't live without my sunglasses!  Whether its summer or winter, I LOVE rocking shades.  For summer I always keep it bright, fun, and sometimes embellished.  I got these soft pink shades from Five Below for $2.50! 

 

A little shopping tip:  Keep it cheap when buying sunglasses.  If your anything like me, I'm always losing or sitting on them. 

 

Keep those pretty eyes safe while looking glam and cool!

 

On a side note....if you  noticed my hair is curly!  Rare sighting!!!!

I'm challenging myself to no heat all summer.  I've damaged my hair with color and heat for sooooo long, I figured I would embrace my curls and get them healthy!  I think about my blow dryer daily, but I'm sure it will get better.  Is it fall yet?  LOL!
