I was so happy this morning to find these studded flats in my closet!  I do this all the time, buy things and forget I even have them.  I have tops in my closet from last summer with tags on them.  I love finding new, yet old stuff.  The weather today is pretty nice.  The sun keeps coming in and out but at least it's making an appearance.  Hope you sweets enjoy this beautiful Thursday!

I bought my very first pair of TOMS this weekend!  If you've read my older posts you know that I don't wear heels in my everyday life.  Which for me means that, I'm always on the hunt for the newest and cutest flats!

I went to Nordstrom this weekend and fell in love with the TOMS display.  So many styles to choose from.  Florals, lace, glitter, and even ballet flats!  The best part of buying TOMS is that with every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. 

New shoes for me + new shoes for a child in need = YES!! 

With Mother's Day being just a few days away this would be a great way to show mom how much you appreciate her, and helping a child in need is always a plus!

Happy Monday sweets!

How was your weekend?  Weekends are wayyyy to short!  I would work 12hrs a day if I could work Monday - Thursday.....wouldn't you? 

My co-worker and I had so much fun taking these pictures today!!!  She was trying to make me pose in all these weird positions.  I've learned that no matter how much I like taking pics.......posing on the spot, SUCKS!  I feel silly, awkward, and I think my co-worker is secretly laughing at me.  Other bloggers make it look so effortlessly....I wonder if they feel as silly as I do.

I was so lucky to have found these colored jeans at my local thrift store!  Even though the weather was crappy today these made me feel bright!  I also have a red pair that I bought at Kohl's....can't wait to wear those!  Are you following the colored denim trend???  I know, I am!

• Curls....just cause I naturally have them.  If I had to choose curly or straight, I would choose straight.  I have a really hard time embracing my curls.  I love the fact that I can wear my hair curly or straight but wearing it curly is a job!

Gold Accents

So happy it's almost the weekend!  Let's talk jewelry!!!!!

Do you guys prefer gold or silver jewelry?  I'm a fan of gold but I do like to mix it up.  Now I've been obsessing over rose gold.  I think that when I wear brighter colors I tend to stick with gold.  I still have a hard time mixing metals, call me old school.  I'm also from the school that doesn't wear white after Labor Day.  I know....the rules of fashion have been thrown out the window but I still feel weird wearing white any other time besides the summer.

This spring/summer has so many HOT jewelry trends; bib necklaces, statement rings, leather beaded bracelets.....that's just to name a few.  I need a statement ring like, yesterday!  I never take my wedding set off but my right hand is always single. LOL!

I have one quick tip for you fashionistas,  "keep your silver jewelry in zip lock bags, air is what causes oxidation (tarnishing)."  Hope you enjoy this post!

"Gloomsday"

April showers DON'T bring May flowers!!

Today is the first of May and it's yet another gloomy day!

May happens to be my favorite month of the year.  It has nothing to do with the fact that my birthday is coming up.
Ok, yes it does!!!!  LOL!  :)

I LOVE birthdays!!!!!  I hate getting older, but I love life and being able to celebrate another year is just an amazing feeling.  Another reason May is AWESOME is Mother's Day!  None of us would be celebrating anything in life, if it wasn't for our wonderful mother's.  Love you mom!   Ok, lets stop talking about how wonderful May is, and get back to my outfit.  lol!

The past few days haven't been that warm, I feel like my outfit reflects the weather.....dark and gloomy!  This weather gives me no motivation to Spring it up; I really hope it changes soon!  Actually as I'm posting this the sun is peaking through my window.....such a tease.

The Military Jacket

Wardrobe Essential: The Military Jacket

The military influence in fashion is so strong, I don't think its a "trend", it's something that never really goes out of style.  Designers have taken the classic military jacket to a whole new level.  Here is one of my favorite bloggers "Sincerely Jules" wearing it with a dress and boots.

If this transition-y weather has you stumped for what to wear in the mornings; the military jacket is pretty perfect.  You can wear it with a dress, jeans, pretty much anything!  I paired my military jacket with jeans and moccasins.  I hope to style it like Jules did with a dress, but I tend to wear jeans most of the week for work.

"A Bronx Tale"

Happy Sunday sweets!


Yesterday was my very first time at the new Yankee Stadium. 

Baseball games call for comfortable outfits that show some team spirit.  Throw on your baseball cap and you’re ready to root, root, root for the home team in style!  That's exactly what the hubby and I did for yesterday's game.  My husband is a super Yankee fan so he had plenty of clothing options, I on the other hand had to stop at Modell's and pick something up.  I ended up with this super cute baseball cap with a pink Yankee sign.

Not only were we looking forward to the game but also the food!!!    We had so many options to chose from, The Hard Rock Cafe, Johnny Rockets, etc.  We decided on taste testing a few things that caught our eye.  For starters we got the "garlic fries"

they surely live up to their name..."garlic"! You needed major mint action after these.  Next we hit up Premio for a hot sausage sandwich...yum!  After all that garlic I needed a sweet treat so I got this cool Carvel souvenir cup with chocolate ice cream.

 Next stop was Brother Jimmy's BBQ for a pulled pork sandwich.  The pork was tender and delicious.  All in all we had an amazing time even though we lost to the Detroit Tigers! :(

Today I ran some errands and visited my local Mandees.  I kept my outfit super casual.  I'm wearing an old shirt that has skulls and red little hearts (sorry can't remember where I got it), Forever 21 skinnies, and Payless leopard print flats.

I love when weekends end in shopping!!!!  Now tomorrow it's Monday and it's back to reality.......WORK!
