Black Label

 Happy Friday!
I wanted to share the outfit I wore to my friends wedding this past weekend.  It was a casual affair with family and friends since this was their second wedding.  Yup, they are part of the two weddings gang!  They were married at the court house but had a beautiful private dinner with family and friends.  Hubby and I did the same thing when we got married.  Courthouse then went with family and friends to the gorgeous island of Dominican Republic.

Congratulations again Jessica & Gunther!

The all black was not planned!
The back of my dress was super fab!  It's has an open x back but I decided to wear it as a skirt and layer with a blazer.  If you want to see the dress, I linked it on here.

Hope you all have a super fun weekend!

A V-day Inspired Look With ModCloth & Polyvore

Hello there sweets!

Today I'm having some fun with Polyvore and ModCloth.
ModCloth is this super fun clothing, accessories, and decor online store.  They have whimsical and cool pieces you won't find anywhere else.

ModCloth has put together the
Uniquely You Campaign, where bloggers create a look using pieces from ModCloth.
The piece chosen for me by Amy at ModCloth, was the  Diagonal Alley Coat in Black by Steve Madden.

A chic statement coat is a must have for the winter months, and this coat makes one hell of a statement.  With a ribbed collar and diagonal zipper its easy to take this from day to night, and if you love color it comes in red too!
I went back and forth debating how I would style this fabulous coat.  I'm a casual girl at heart and live in jeans and pants.  For this campaign I decided to go dressy and give you a V-day inspired look.

Here's what I would wear on V-day!

Do you love it?

All the pieces are from ModCloth and the first one that spoke to me was the Prized Panelist Dress.  The black and white is so chic and the flare skirt is perfect!  The color blocking and panels brought me back to the diagonal zipper on the Alley Coat

Adding the red tights gave it that V-day feel for a fun, girly look!  Accessories are a must to finish off any look.  I went with a beautiful t-strap heel and a leopard clutch. #classic
Mixing prints is definitely something I love to do.  I love the look of vintage jewelry and these cameo earrings and statement necklace were perfect to finish it all off.  I had to go back and add a scarf because if you live on the East Coast like me, your going to need it on V-day!  #polarvortexgoaway

Accessories I used:

I hope you get some V-day inspiration from my look, It's definitely "uniquely me"!

White Out

Blazer: Thrifted
Top & Jeans: Old Navy
Handbag: c/o Galian Handbags
Booties: Material Girl (Macy's)

Happy MLK Day!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

I've said it over and over again, before my blog you couldn't catch me in white after Labor Day.  What was I thinking!  I found the easiest way for me to embrace white in winter was to winterize it!  Adding a chunky knit sweater or a cord blazer like I did just gives it that winter vibe.

Have a sweet Monday!

Berry Blush

Happy 2014 sweets!
Holidays are over and it's back to the grind.  I know I've been lacking on posts but between the holidays, the weather, and the hubby working long hours I just don't have the time.  Hoping to get more organized in the new year and maybe post more than just once a week.  Lets see how that works out.   Well lets get right to it!

I'm not a big fan of wearing leggings out but these aren't your ordinary leggings.  HUE has thee cutest patterns and colors.  Perfect for that legging comfort but you don't look like you just came out of the gym.
